South County Transit Service (SCOTS) Bus Schedule

Here is the route map and the times of arrival/departure for Deale and Shady Side. The stop in Deale is at the library parking lot on the end near Wheeler's hardware and there is also a stop in Shady Side.

This service may be ending March 31, 2009. With only about 50 riders per month, it has not been thought to be cost effective.

Hearings and Appeals

Your civic association receives volumes of mail from the county government listing hearings and appeals on property matters. Most of these items do not refer to the Shady Side area, but it is very time consuming to wade through them looking for items of interest to our community. All of this material is available on the county web site, but not easy to find. Therefore, we are providing a link here to the appropriate sites. They are regularly updated, so if you hear of an item of interest, simply use the "Find" feature of your browser to locate the item on the relevant page.

Televised County Council Meetings

All County Council meetings are now being televised live beginning at 7:00 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month (holiday exceptions) and replayed at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday each week on the channels listed below.
